01
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Ouvre Studio ("Ouvre", "the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
02
Eligibility
Ouvre Studio has no minimum age, but dancers under 16 may only join with a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian confirms the Terms and the Privacy Policy on the child's behalf and verifies their own identity before the account is reviewed.
Dancers aged 16 and 17 verify with a parent or guardian, or with a school ID. Their parent or guardian should know about the account and agree to any payments.
You must be 18 or over to teach on Ouvre Studio.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
03
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person
Accounts require verification. We review submissions and may approve or deny access based on the information provided. Denied users may submit an appeal.
04
User Roles & Conduct
Ouvre supports multiple roles: Student, Teacher, Professional Dancer, and Company. Each role has specific features and responsibilities.
All users agree to:
- Treat others with respect in all interactions, including chat and video critiques
- Not upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates others' rights
- Not use the platform to harass, bully, or discriminate against others
- Not attempt to manipulate ratings, competitions, or payment systems
- Not use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the app
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards.
05
Content Ownership & Licensing
You retain ownership of all content you upload (videos, images, text). By uploading content to Ouvre, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of providing the service.
This licence ends when you delete your content or account, except where your content has been shared with or used by other users (e.g., competition submissions, feedback videos).
You represent that you have the right to upload all content you submit and that it does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
06
Payments, Fees & Refunds
Lessons and critiques: Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects the student's payment and releases the teacher's share once the lesson or critique has been delivered. Ouvre's service and booking fees are deducted from each payment. Prices are set by teachers and shown before booking.
Live streaming fees: Teachers pay a per-session fee for live lesson infrastructure.
Memberships and boosts: Available as in-app purchases through the platform.
Refunds: Cancellations before a lesson may be eligible for a refund. Completed lessons are generally non-refundable. Disputes are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.
Right of withdrawal: If you book as a consumer, you may withdraw from a critique booking within 14 days of booking without giving a reason. To withdraw, tell us clearly, in the app under Bookings or by email to support@ouvre.studio, for example: "I withdraw from my booking of [date]. [Your name]." We refund within 14 days by the same payment method. If you asked for the critique to start right away and it has been delivered, the right of withdrawal has ended. If you withdraw after the teacher has accepted but before delivery, you pay for the work already done. Live lessons are booked for a fixed time, so there is no right of withdrawal for them; our cancellation rules apply instead.
All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated.
07
Competitions
Ouvre hosts dance competitions with various phases (submission, judging, deliberation, results). By entering a competition, you agree to:
- Follow the specific rules of each competition
- Accept the judges' decisions as final
- Grant Ouvre the right to display your submission within the competition context
Prize claims are subject to verification. Fraudulent entries will result in disqualification and potential account suspension.
08
Limitation of Liability
Ouvre is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ouvre Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
09
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour
- Fail to complete the verification process
- Remain inactive for an extended period
Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the process described in our Privacy Policy.
10
Dispute Resolution
We encourage users to resolve disputes informally by contacting support. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law.
